Not yet decided to relax sourcing condition for 3 companies in single brand retail, says Nirmala Sitharaman


On Monday administration has not yet decided on giving relaxation of sourcing condition in the single brand retail sector to three companies, Parliament was knowledgeable. Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman conveyed in a written reply to the Lok Sabha that, only 3 companies have sought relaxation of sourcing condition.

No decision has been taken by the administration in this regard. Be that as it may, the Minister has not revealed the names of those organizations. As of now, according to the FDI strategy, in regard of recommendations including remote venture past 51%, sourcing of 30% of the estimation of products acquired should be done from India.
