No Indian affected in a terror attack in French resort of Nice where at least 80 people were killed when a large truck ploughed through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day events. On Friday external affairs representatives Vikas Swarup conveyed that, their Ambassador in Paris is in touch with the Indian community in Nice. So far no account of any Indians affected. He also conveyed that, the Indian embassy in Paris had commenced the helpline number 33-1-40507070.  It forces at velocity along the Promenade des Anglais alongside the backdrop of the carnival-like atmosphere which turns to terror.

The resonance of obvious gun shots can also be heard – but as a firecracker display was part of the festivities these are unverified. On Thursday night at slightest 80 people were died and dozens others seriously injured when a huge truck ploughed throughout a throng present Bastille Day celebration in Nice. The driver of the truck was shot dead after barreling two kilometres throughout the crowd, distributing hundreds escaping in terror and leaving the area strewn with bodies.
