Previous Indian envoy to the US Nirupama Rao has been assigned as public policy fellow to a Washington-based think-tank. She will work on a project on the Sino-India ties for the top American think-tank.
Ms Rao will be partnered with the Wilson Center’s Asia programme.Beginning in June 2017, she will give three months in home at the Wilson Center which is a key non-divided approach discussion for handling worldwide issues.
The American research organization stated, she will deal with a book project on the Indo-China relationship.
The 66-year-old previous Indian representative was India’s first lady diplomat to China and the first lady representative for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also served as India’s foreign secretary from 2009 to 2011.
