The possession of massive chuck of land acquired in zone-12 to develop Ninder Housing Project has been undertaken by the Jaipur Development Authority ( JDA) on Thursday.
The enforcement team swung into action and took possession of nearly 110 bigha encroached by the mandir mafia. After taking the possession, the JDA erected its broad on the land.
An official said, “The JDA had acquired 1,300 bigha to develop the housing scheme. Out of which, 110 bigha was acquired from mandir mafia in 2010 and compensation was deposited in the court in 2013. However, the priests, owners of the land were not giving the possession and carrying out farming activities. Our team appeased them and took possession on Thursday.”
For the Ninder housing scheme, the farmers earlier had surrendered 160 bigha. The JDA has also issued allotment letters to these farmers.
“The farmers have surrendered 300 bigha for the scheme. In second phase, they would surrender 120 bigha and allotment letter will be issued next week,” said offical.
