Sri Lankan team defeated India by five wickets in the T20 International match on Tuesday at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium. Player Kusal Perera clinched half-century (66 runs off 37 balls) to win the game against India.
Perera’s innings comprised of 6 fours and 4 sixes. He outshine Indian player Shikar Dhawan’s career-best 90.
Indian Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar took two wickets each but Perera’s explosive begining made confident that Sri Lankan team will win. Sri Lankans first wicket was taken by Indians at an early time.
In the third over of match, Perera was at a score of 27 runs with 5 fours and a six.
Shikhar Dhawan scored 90 runs in 49-balls which comprised of 6 fours and 6 sixes while Manish Pandey clinched 37 runs in the T20 match.
Now, India will face off Bangladesh on Thursday.
