New Delhi: 2 men robbed elderly women, arrested


New Delhi: On Sunday two men, who used to rob elderly women taking a stroll at secluded spots, were detained. The indicted-Gulam (24) and Avinash (25) -endeavored to strangle the targets with sharp weapons prior to escape with their belongings.

Police officials has further conveyed that Gulam and Avinash known each other for about 8 years and took to crime to buy drugs. They first used to trace the secluded spots to recognize elderly woman who came for a walk alone.

Following fetching familiar with a person’s schedule, they used to hit. They typically wounded the person so that she could not raise an alarm. Presently, a 72-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Janakpuri police station, conveying that she was assaulted by two men when she went for a walk at a close park in the evening.

She further added that when she tried to raise an alarm, the indicted tried to strangle her and took away the gold jewellery that she was exhausting. Vijay Kumar, deputy commissioner of police (west) has further conveyed that, the CCTV footage of the adjoining areas was scanned and the indicted were detained by a squad led by SHO, Janakpuri, Richh Pal Singh.
