New 2017 BMW 5 Series unveiled


Today BMW set to unveil the all new 5 Series in India, as the corporation will look to recoup its spot in the luxury sedan segment which has rivalry from 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB and Volvo S90. The 2017 BMW 5 Series was initially unveiled in India back in 2010, whereas the 2017 5 Series was showcased at the North American International Auto Show previous year.

The new 5 Series is brought to India with the CKD unit, it is locally collected at the corporation’s Chennai plant. Furthermore, pre-book the 2017 5 Series with an early token amount of Rs 2 lakh – Rs 3 lakh depending on the variant. Deliveries should start from July 1, 2017. The all new BMW 5 series will approach with two engine options- a new 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder inline engine in the BMW 530i supersedes the gasoline unit formerly fitted in the BMW 528i.

The turbocharged direct injection engine delivers its peak output of 248 hp and puts its maximum torque of 349Nm. The BMW 530i sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds (5.8 seconds with xDrive) and arrives a top speed of 209kmph. The range-topping engine being originates in the new BMW 540i and generates 335 hp.

The 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder musters up a mighty 450Nm of torque. The BMW 540i sedan powers from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds and top speed is electronically-limited to 209kmph. The new BMW series kidney grille is between twin circular headlights with the headlight housings currently connecting with the kidney grille.

The adaptive full LED headlights modifies the light graphic. Full LED headlights, the LED tubes running lights are hexagonal and extend to gather the kidney grille.The all-new BMW 5 Series sedan lingers the quintessential midsize sport sedan. The new BMW 5 Series Sedan is 30mm longer than the outgoing model 7.62 mm wider and 15.24mm taller.
