Nearly 3 dead, 150 wounded in Kashmir violence


Kashmir: Atleast three civilians were died and around 150 were wounded due to the clashes and protests that took place in the valley on Friday.

In the 10 districts of Kashmir, anti-government rallies were taken out in around 45 places just after Friday prayers. In Budgam district of Kashmir, around two civilians were killed and in Baramulla’s Sopore area one student were died in the conflict.

Since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, the death tolls of civilians have reached to 55.

Police sources said fierce clashes broke out in south Kashmir’s volatile districts of Shopian, Anantnag, Kulgam and Pulwama, leaving scores of protesters injured.

Just after the incident, medical emergencies were declared in the hospital to treat the victims. The rally of the protestors turned vicious which took place in Bandipora and Ganderbal districts which killed many.

The hospital persons of Srinagar’s Shri Maharaja Hari Singh revealed that victims sustained bullet injuries.

According to official figures, more than 4,600 people, including security personnel, have been injured in the ongoing unrest in Kashmir.
