At least 22 people including 15 civilians died in the inter-communal conflict held in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The clashes were going since last two days, reports said.
Local Administration Officer Hop Sabini issued the information about this matter.
Sabini told that the fighters of the Hutu-dominated Nyatura faction attacked a group famous as Mai Mai Majenbe on Sunday in Kauli village. After this, similar incident also happened in Bawalanda.
According to Sabini, 11 civilians died in this inter-caste conflict in Kalusi village while four civilians and seven rebels were killed in Bawalanda.
