HYDERABAD: NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind started his campaign on Tuesday in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday for the presidential elections 2017.
Ram Nath Kovind took this decision just after Meira Kumar visit to Hyderabad. Now, Kovind reached to the city to strengthen his support.
BJP, TRS, TDP and YSRCP party leaders gave him a warm welcome at the Begumpet Airport on Tuesday.
Several political leaders including Central Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP’s Telangana unit chief K. Laxman, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mehmood Ali, Ministers N. Narasimha Reddy and Harish Rao reached to the airport to greet him.
Later, He goes to Haritha Plaza hotel to visit Bhartiya Janta Party members. He met with YSRCP, the opposition party of AP which has already announced its support to him. As per the reports, YSRCP chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and party MPs and MLAs will met with him.
Kovind would then have a meeting with pioneers of Telangana’s decision party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which as well, has declared its help to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) chosen one.
TRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, party MPs and MLAs will meet the previous Bihar Governor.
The TRS raised colossal hoardings at occupied crossing points in the city to welcome him. The hoardings convey pictures of Kovind and Chandrasekhar Rao.
In the wake of meeting with TRS officials, Kovind would then leave for Vijayawada where he would meet TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and different pioneers.
