Naxals attack at Masudan railway station in Bihar, two officials kidnapped, no casualty

Naxalites assaulted Masudan railway station in Bihar on Tuesday night and set the station property ablaze. As per the reports, Naxals have also kidnapped two railway authorities, involving the assistant station master.

The kidnapped assistant station master informed the matter to Maldah DRM on call stating that Naxals have menaced to attack them if trains persist to ply on Masudan track. Every traveler demanded to take other option as a safety action.

Till now, no loss have been reported yet. The railway authorities have not announced anything about the matter.

Rajesh Kumar, CPRO Eastern Railway, asserted that rail services have been discontinued at Kiul-Jamalpur-Bhagalpur section of Malda Division.

On 3 August 2017, a faction of 20 Naxals had allegedly hijacked a train in Lakhisarai district of Bihar. Following abduction of two cabin men, Naxalites had then interrupted rail services on two lines.

Naxalites often hit railway stations, mobile phone towers, administrative offices.
