National Awards: Amitabh and Kangana receive national award, Manoj Kumar receive Dadasaheb Phalke award


63rd National Film Awards were held in Delhi on 3rd may. Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Actor award for “Piku”, while Kangana Ranaut was awarded the best actress. Manoj Kumar was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. President and Finance Minister awarded the winners.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan won his 4th national award. He receives the Rajat Kamal and Rs50000. He previously won national award for Agneepath (1990), Black (2005) and Paa (2009). He was accompanied by his family including Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.  Kangana won the award for romantic comedy drama “Tanu Weds Manu Return”. She also received Rajat Kamal and Rs50000. Veteran actor Manoj Kumar receives the Dadasaheb Phalke award from President Pranab Mukherjee. 78 years old Manoj Kumar becomes the 47th recipient of the awards, the highest recognition in Indian cinema, which consists of a golden lotus, a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs and a shawl.

Baahubali has won the best movie award. Bajirao Mastani won awards in different categories including Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Chorographer, Best Costume, and Best Cinematography. The best Hindi film was awarded to Ayushmann Khurana's 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'.
