Bhubaneswar, Berhampur: The Nandankanan close here on Friday observed World Elephant Day with schoolchildren serving assortments of sustenance to the pachyderms of the zoo.
The seven caparisoned elephants in the zoo were united to check the event. Central boss conservator of timberlands (natural life) Siddhant Das congratulated the seven mahouts, who handle the elephants.
The zoo powers likewise sorted out a bike rally that headed out up to Godibari in Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary conveying messages to spare elephants. Chandaka is perceived as salvage community for the jumbos.
On the event, the zoo powers conveyed a one-year-old lioness to the fenced in area for open review interestingly. The lioness is named Kalpana.
A report from Berhampur said untamed life activists and villagers have required a characterized elephant hall and round-the-clock reconnaissance on the development of pachyderms in Ganjam region amid the World Elephant Day festivities at G K High School in Subalaya on Friday.
