Nagpur: Speeding car hits tree, 3 killed

Nagpur: Early on Friday three people were died following a car in which they were travelling hit a signage prior to striking into a roadside tree close to Railway quarters on Sadar. Early on Friday the mishap occurred about 200 meters away from Sadar police station.

The dead have been recognized as Abhijeet Paplu (18) and Pranav Naidu (19)and car driver Akshay Maske (20). The car, driven by Akshay Maske (20), was travelling towards old VCA stadium in Sadar from the direction of Japanese garden when the mishap occurred.

Traffic DCP Ravindrasing Pardeshi has also further conveyed that, the bodies had to be recovered from the mangled car following much toil. The speed of car was very high. The crash was so big and loud that the noise could be heard from the close police station.

He further added that, the police officials rushed towards the spot following hearing the noise. The police officer from Sadar police station, who were there on the spot, told the three in the car were students.

The three were hurried to Mayo Hospital where Paplu and Naidu were affirmed dead. Maske was referred to CIIMS with head injury. A case of rash and negligent driving was filed next to Maske.
