Mumbai: Speeding car rams into tempo, 1 killed


Mumbai: A man died following a speeding BMW car rammed into the tempo he was driving in Vile Parle east on Sunday. The mishap took place about 5am at Parleshwar junction and one other in the tempo wounded.

47-yr-old Rajiv Shah, Juhu resident who was at the wheel of the sedan, was taken into police custody. 27-yr-old tempo driver Sunil Jaiswal was immediately taken to hospital, but due to severe head injury, he died.

The tempo traveling milk was taking a turn at the junction when the car rammed into it. Shah works as a manager in a private corporation. In complaint, tempo cleaner Rajan Jaiswal conveyed that, he was carrying milk to deliver at different center’s when the speeding BMW rammed into our vehicle.

The driver got stuck between the two vehicles following the door opened due to the impact.” Based on complaint, car driver Shah has been booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 279 (rash driving), 304 (A) (causing death by negligence) and 337.
