Mumbai: On Friday DN Nagar police got the success, as police arrested a man who killed his wife and two year son last week. Laxman Dangar (38) committed the offence suspecting his wife Parvati (35) having an illicit relationship. Dangar killed his wife at their Andheri (west) home in a hutment on August 7 and dumped her body in a bush and the next day he dumped his sleeping son Akhil in a Nallah at Juhu.
Acting on a tip-off received, the deputy commissioner of police (Zone IX) Satyanarayan Choudhary formed a team—D N Nagar police senior inspector D Nalawade and detection staff—arrested Dangar who confessed of killing his second wife and son. "Dangar said he married Parvati and her cousin sister on the same day seven years ago. Few years back he married another woman," said Nalawade.
Dangar's six-year-old son also pointed out that his father fought with his mother on August 7 around 7pm. The same night at around 11pm, Dangar strangulated his wife and at around 3am he dumped her body in the bushes. While at 6am on August 8 he took his toddler son and dumped him in the nallah alive," said the investigator.
Dangar has been booked under the Indian Penal Code section for murder. He is in police custody till August 18. Two cases of murder have been registered against Dangar at the police stations in Juhu for killing his son and at DN Nagar for his wife's murder.
