Mumbai got hit by heavy rainfall


Mumbai, July 2: Mumbai has been receiving heavy  rainfall from the past 24 hours. Mumbai local train services and traffic on road were badly hit on Saturday due to heavy downpour. Heavy rains in Mumbai led to the cancellation and delay of several local trains and slowed down the traffic on many roads. Water-logging was witnessed in several areas of Mumbai suburb. High-tide warning has also been issued in the island city.

However pre-Monsoon showers were missing from Mumbai, but since the beginning of July the city of dream has been witnessing heavy rainfall. A common compound wall between R-Mall and another building, collapsed due to heavy rains. Three people were injured in the accident, while 9 cars parked got damaged due to wall collapse. An accident took place on Eastern Express Highway near Amar Mahel, Chembur after a car collided with a truck. Four injured people have been taken to the hospital.
