Mumbai: Santacruz police has arrested a 27-year-old woman for murdering a Mumbai businessman Tilakraj Rajput, 43, on Sunday. Rajput was in laundry business and was in a relationship with the accused for last five years. The dead body was found in an SUV and police said the deceased, Tilakraj Rajput, a resident of Juhu Tara Road.
The woman lives in Vile Parle. The incident occurred after the duo met last night and got into a quarrel as the woman wanted to get out of the relationship, said a police officer. “Rajput was not ready to end the relationship. They were sitting in the SUV at SV road near LIC office in Santacruz (West) when an argument started between them.
In a fit of rage the woman throttled the businessman and left the spot,” said senior inspector Shantanu Pawar of the Santacruz police station. The police patrolling vehicle noticed the car and the person lying on the front seat. They informed the police control room and rushed Rajput to Cooper hospital where he was declared dead, said Pawar. “After inquiry we arrested the woman from Juhu area under for murder and will produce her in court today,” said Pawar.
