JAIPUR: Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ has once again come into trouble as the movie distributors are denying to release the film in cinema halls of Rajasthan.
“Let the Shri Rajput Karni Sena and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali reach an amicable solution. We will buy the distribution rights only after that,” Raj Bansal, film distributor stated.
The movie is slated to hit the theatres on December 1 across India.
Following Congress Leader Pratap Singh Kachariyawas ordered prohibition for movie, the film distributors took strong decision. However, State home minister Gulab Chand Kataria in the recent times came out in assistance of the movie and affirmed that it would hit the theatres at any price and, if required be, with police defense.
As per Karni Sena members, they will also inscribe to movie exhibitors in ‘blood’ not to exhibit the film.
The movie has been disliked by Karni Sena groups since its inception. During the shooting of film in Jaipur, karni sena group destroyed the sets and even attacked on the director of film Bhansali.
