MoU sign to built largest theme park in Agra


Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government signed a MoU with Kingdom Company of veteran actor Sanjay Khan to establish a theme park in Agra. 1,000-acre park along the Agra Ring Road, which connects the Yamuna Expressway and the under-construction Lucknow-Agra Expressway.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. On behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government, the MoU was signed by the Managing Director, UPSIDC (Uttar Pradesh Small Industrial Development Corporation), Manoj Singh. Sanjay Khan signed on behalf of his company.

Talking about the MoU, UP CM said India's historical and cultural heritage will be depicted through the park which would be relevant for students, tourists and researchers.

"The world will get to know more about the country, especially Uttar Pradesh," Yadav said, adding that the project would also create employment opportunities. 

Apart from this, the CM said that it create employment opportunities and boost the economy of the state.

 The park will actually be a cluster of seven theme-based structures inspired by the Mahabharta, the Ramayana, the Gupta era, the Mughal period and the freedom struggle of 1857. There is also a plan to build city-based theme park.
