Moto Z2 Play to launch today in India


Lenovo brand Moto is ready to unveil its Z-Series handset Moto Z2 Play in the Indian market today i.e. June 8, Thursday. The pre booking of handset will get start from today.

The launching of Moto Z2 Play cellphone will be live streamed today at 12pm IST. The handset carries price tag of $499 (approx Rs. 32,200) in US market.

Coming to its specifications, Moto Z2 Play handset features 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 401ppi. The cellphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor. The smartphone will be launched in two variants including 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. The internal storage of handset can be expandable to 2TB using microSD card slot. It comes with 3.5mm jack, USB Type-C.

Talking about camera qualities, Moto Z2 Play includes 12-megapixel rear camera that comes with 1.4-micron pixel sensor, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, laser and dual autofocus lens. On the front, it includes 5-megapixel selfie camera, f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens, dual-LED CCT flash.

Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C (3.1), a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, FM radio, and GPS/ A-GPS. It also has accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The handset measures 156.2×76.2×5.99mm and weighs 145 grams.
