Monsoon Pakode with Imli Chutney


As the Monsoon season is all set to roll over, here’s a treat for all foodies out there.

We know it does, so today we would like to acquaint you with this scrumptious recipe:

BharwaMirchPakorais stuffed pepper with mashed potatoes then dipped in gram flour batter along with lovely green chillies and deep fried. You'll be coming back for seconds before you know it. So let’s learn it together.

Ingredients for Stuffed MirchiPakoras Recipe

  • Green Chillies 8 large
  • Gram Flour 1 1/2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 3 teaspoons
  • Oil 2 teaspoon
  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium
  • Button mushrooms chopped 10-12 medium
  • Cumin powder 1 t teaspoon
  • Bread crumbs 1/4 cup
  • Processed cheese grated 1/2 cup


Step 1

Wash and slit green chillies carefully only on one side, remove seeds and keep aside.

Step 2

Take gram flour in a bowl and add salt to taste, turmeric powder and one teaspoon of red chilli powder.

Step 3

Add sufficient water to gram flour to form a batter of coating consistency.

Step 4

Heat one teaspoon of oil in a pan on medium heat, add onion and cook, stirring continuously, till onion turns light golden brown.

Step 5

Add mushrooms and cook for another two to three minutes, stirring frequently.
