Momal Siekh upset on delay of her movie “Happy Bhag Jayegi” in Pakistan


Pakistani on-screen character Momal Seikh, who denoted her Bollywood debut with Happy Bhag Jayegi, is truly disturbed as her film has been held from being discharged in Pakistan by the blue pencil sheets.

“A decision is still pending, so I’m just waiting for their response. It was a big day for me with a lot of mixed feelings; I’m excited yet nervous as it is my [Bollywood] debut film. I usually don’t complain nor do I [harbour] any negative [feelings] but this incident has really upset me,” the Dawn quoted her as saying.

The Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) of Pakistan couldn't achieve a consistent choice over the destiny of this film, discharged in India on August 19, because of specialized contrasts between the board individuals.

Momal, on this note, added she does not feel that there were any objectionable elements in the film. “I’ve yet to watch the whole movie myself, so I’m personally not even aware of half of the scenes, but from what I’ve seen and gathered, they have definitely shown a positive side of Pakistan, where they are working on helping Indian women,” she said.

The motion picture, which likewise stars Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Jimmy Shergill and Ali Fazal, earned Rs. 2.32 crores on its first day in the Indian Box Office. In the interim, Diana Penty, who has come back to the silver screen with 'Cheerful Bhag Jayegi', four years after her Bollywood debut Cocktail,feels that if there is no issue, then it is an issue.

“I am coming to my own. I am more confident. I am not self conscious anymore. I am not shy and reserved as I used to be. I have learnt that I am who I am. If you have problem then it’s your problem,” said the actress to Filmfare, when asked “how have you changed over the years.”
