The film collected Rs 2.10 crores on Saturday, a slight decline from its Friday collection. Mirzya has collected Rs 4.30 crores in two days. Post Sunday, it will be interesting to see how the film manages to survive the weekdays.
The film is not attracting audience despite festive season going on. People are on long weekend leaves celebrating – Durga Puja and Dussehra. What could be the better time to go out and watch movies with families? However, none of those factors is apparently helping out Mirzya. The coming few days would be crucial for Mirzya. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Mirzya FAILS to witness growth on Day 2… DECLINED on Sat, after a DISMAL Fri… Fri 2.20 cr, Sat 2.10 cr. Total: ₹ 4.30 cr. India biz.”
Having poor advance booking, Mirzya opened to lukewarm response in the domestic market on Friday. Despite getting positive talk from everyone, the Harshvardhan Kapoor-starrer failed to show growth on Saturday. However, the film witnessed some improvements in its collection on Sunday, but it was not up to the expected mark.
Mirzya is estimated to have collected over Rs 7.50 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first weekend. Its day-wise breakup of its first weekend collection is Rs 2.20 crore on Friday, Rs 2.10 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.20 crore on Sunday. The movie has landed in the second place, while MS Dhoni: The Untold Story topped the domestic business charts this weekend.
