MIM to provide legal aid to five IS suspects says Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has announced that his party would provide legal aid to five IS suspects arrested from Hyderabad earlier this week by the National Investigation agency. Addressing the ‘Yaum-ul-Quaran’ meeting on the occasion of Jumatul Vida (last Friday of Ramzan) at Mecca Masjid here on Saturday, MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi claimed that five youths arrested by the NIA were ‘innocent’.

However, he made it clear that his party doesn’t support terrorism. He accused the Investigating agencies of pursuing ‘Hindutva’ agenda to implicate innocent Muslim youth in false cases.

Owaisi said, ‘the family members of the youth had met him and claimed that they were innocent’. “If they are innocent, the party will not keep quiet and fight against such arrests,” the Hyderabad MP said, and exuded confidence that the IS would be defeated soon.
