Micromax Canvas 1 smartphone unveiled at Rs 6,999 in India


Indian smartphone maker company Micromax unveiled budget smartphone Canvas 1 in the markets. The handset has been launched in two colour variants including Matte Black and Chrome Black. The cellphone carries a price tag of Rs 6,999.

The company stated, “It is also the first smartphone to come with a 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue (which is a part of the 1 year product warranty),” says the company.

Coming to its specifications, Micromax Canvas 1 handset has 4G VoLTE support, it involves 5-inch HD display that comes with a pixel resolution of 720×1280. The smartphone boasts 2.5D HD display, it runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The cellphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The internal storage of handset can be expandable to up to 32GB using microSD card slot.

Talking about its camera details, the smartphone 8-megapixel camera on the rear that comes with flash, on the front, it has 5-megapixel camera to take selfies. The smartphone includes 2500mAh battery that give 7 hours of talk time.

Prior, the company unveiled Canvas 2 handset in the month of May. It carries a price tag of Rs 11,999. The handset involves Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a 360-degree identification fingerprint sensor, Android Nougat. The cellphone is powered by a Quad-core 1.3GHz processor. It features 3GB of RAM that comes with 16GB of storage. Its storage can be expandable to up to 64GB using microSD card. The smartphone includes 3050 mAh battery. Canvas 2 boasts 13-megapixel camera on the rear, on the other hand, it includes 5-megapixel camera to take selfies.
