Messi’s hat-trick leads Argentina to quarter-final


Chicago. Star player Lionel Messi fired a hat-trick in the initial 18 minutes and ended with a 5-0 defeat by Argentina to Panama. Argentina has marked its entry into the quarterfinals of Copa America.

Messi was out in the last match against Chile because of injury but came in the 61st minute of the match against Panama replacing Augusto Fernandez.

Messi scored a brilliant goal in the 68th minute from his left foot. After nine more minutes the football was showed the way into the goal from 25 yards, he scored the second goal. In the 86th minute of the match, he completed a hat-trick past a defense.

Also the team's first goal was scored in the sixth minute and Nicolas Otamendi Sergio Agüero fifth goal in the last minute. 53 thousand spectators were present at the stadium and crowd helped Messi with loud cheers to encourage.

The victory of Argentina has made them win six points from two matches, and the team has qualified for the quarter-finals from Group D. On the other hand Bolivia is out of the race with zero points. Second team to reach the quarterfinals of the group would be decided with the next match between Chile and Panama.
