McDonald’s India App Leaked Customer Data

New Delhi: McDonald’s India app McDelivery leaked personal information of its customers for an unspecified duration of time on Saturday sources said.

This included “name, email address, telephone number, place of residence, precise home co-ordinates, and social profile joins” for more than 2.2 million of its clients.

After an autonomous blog guaranteed that the organization was releasing individual information of more than 2.2 million clients in India, McDonald’s said its site and portable application don’t store budgetary information of clients.

“We might want to illuminate our clients that our site and application does not store any delicate monetary information of the clients like Visa subtle elements, wallets passwords or ledger data,” said a McDonald’s India representative.

It also asked its users of its McDelivery service in India to update the app on their smartphones as a precaution.
