New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch an S-Cross petrol version in Indian market. At present S-Cross is available in diesel version. S-Cross was launched in India in 2015 through Maruti Suzuki's premium Nexa dealership.
Launched last year, the Maruti Suzuki S-cross hadn’t been doing well, till the company slashed the car’s price by about Rs. 2.05 lakh. After price reduction, the sale of S-Cross picked up.
Now, Maruti Suzuki has also planned to roll out a petrol variant with the 1.5-liter, M15, 1490 cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces 100 hp at 5900 rpm and a torque of 133 Nm at 4100 rpm.
The 1.3-liter diesel engine variant of the S-cross is priced between Rs. 8.03 lakh and Rs. 10.6 lakh. The 1.6-liter diesel S-cross is priced between Rs. 10.23 lakh and Rs. 12.03 lakh. The petrol variant in the works with the 1.5-liter petrol engine may be priced above Rs. 7 lakh and below Rs. 10 lakh, it is expected.
