Martin Guptill will not play in starting match of IPL 10

New Zealand’s Player Martin Guptill has been banned from all forms of cricket due to several injuries. The reports suggested that he will be given six weeks of strength training and rehabilitation.

The player will not be seen in New Zealand season and the beginning of IPL tournament. Guptill will experience strengthening work to make sure that he is completely fit for the Champions Trophy matches that will be held in June.

Kings XI Punjab team has chosen him at Rs 50 Lakh last month for IPL tournament 2018.

In February, Guptill did not played for New Zealand’s matches over Australia and South Africa.  On the return of fourth ODI game, he made a contribution of 180 against the Proteas in Hamilton on March 1.

“Right now Martin isn’t fit to play and the time we give him now to fortify his hamstrings will assume a major part in moderating future hazard as well,” New Zealand group physiotherapist Tommy Simsek said.

He expressed, “We’ve set up a program to ensure that Martin can come back to full quality and we’ll keep on monitoring him intently.”

Coach Mike Hesson said Guptill’s significance to the one-day team for June’s Champions Trophy in England doomed a full break from cricket was the right option.
