A 29-year-old man has been captured for slapping and punching a traffic police constable in Punjab. The cop halted Himanshu Mittal from driving his BMW on the wrong side of the street. A bystander record Mr Mittal assaulting Om Prakash in Patiala on Tuesday. A clasp of the brutal encounter rapidly became a web sensation via social media.
Constable Prakash spotted Mr Mittal’s luxury car driving on the wrong side of the street in Patiala’s Khanda Chowk. When he stopped the car and requested to see Mr Mittal’s licence and different records, the matter immediately heightened.
Mr Mittal can been seen on camera both verbally and physically mishandling the constable. He slaps, punches and pulls at his uniform at different points in the about two-minute long viral video.
Constable Prakash excessively strikes back as tempers fly. At a certain point, he can be seen attempting to kick Mr Mittal. Nonetheless, observers and other cops rapidly step into separate the two men.
Mr Mittal has now been reserved under the non-bailable offenses of impeding an open servant and ambushing a public servant. On Wednesday, he was sent to 14 days police remand. Constable Prakash was not severely harmed in the assault.
Police say Mr Mittal had neither his licence nor the car’s enrollment documents on him when he was ceased.
