Mumbai: South actor Dulquer Salmaan who never appeared in Bollywood movie has delivered his performances in Malayalam films like ‘Bangalore Days’, ‘Charlie’and ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ and has a commendable fan following across India.
He now all set to make his Bollywood debut with Ronnie Screwvala production. The movie also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Parkar.
The star, son of veteran Mollywood superstar Mammootty, had even played a bouncer based out of Bombay in Rajeev Ravi’s ‘Kammattipaadam,’ impressed all by noteworthy performance and sundry with his impeccable Mumbai diction.
The film marks the directorial debut of Humshakals and Krrish 3 screenwriter Akarsh Khurana, is touted to be road movie. Akarsh has co-written the film, which had initially been offered to Abhishek Bachchan with Hussain Dalal. Sources further stated that it’s a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip. The film rolls by the month end in Kerala.
Dulquer, whose last release was Amal Neerad’s ‘Comrade in America,’ is now gearing up for the release of Bejoy Nambiar’s Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, ‘Solo’.
