MAHARASHTRA: At Least 3 people died and 15 others wounded in a massive fire occurred at a private chemical manufacturing company in Maharashtra’s Palghar on Thursday.
As per Palghar Control police official Pramod Pawar, the incident occurred at around 11.15 pm in the chemical company’s plant on Thursday.
“The reason of explosion is not yet clear and the blast was heard in a radius of 10 km, and houses and buildings were trembled,” Mr Pawar stated.
Several fire brigades reached to the area to douse the flames.
The explosion took place in Ramedeo Chemicals plant boiler room on Thursday.
As per Superintendent of Police, the blaze has extended to other companies adjoining Ramedeo Chemicals’s plant. At the time of incident, several chemical drums were present within these companies.
As per observers, the blast occurred when the employees were going back to home in the night.
