Indore: The preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting in Bhabra, the birthplace of Chandra Shekhar Azad in Alirajpur, are going on in full swing. Modi would address a gathering on August 9 to mark 70 years of Independence and 74 years of Quit India Movement.
State Cooperatives, Gas Relief and Rehabilitation (Independent Charge) Minister Vishwas Sarang will be camping in Alirajpur district from today to review preparations for the Prime Minister’s proposed visit to the birth place of Azad, a Public Relations department official said.
Sarang will review preparations at Jothrada village of Bhabhra tehsil, which was rechristened as Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar in memory of the revolutionary leader.
A meeting was held in Mantralaya here yesterday to review preparations for the Prime Minister’s proposed visit. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Khandekar reviewed preparations for the venue, transportation and parking arrangements and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials in this regard.
