REWA, MADHYA PRADESH: Six people were harmed on Friday when a gas cylinder used to fill inflatables exploded next to a temple in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.
Devotees had assembled in substantial numbers at the Rani Talab sanctuary when the gas barrel detonated, harming six people and bringing about frenzy among the general population.Of the six harmed, three were in genuine condition, the police said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has declared ex gratia installment ofRs. 50,000 for each the genuinely harmed and Rs. 25,000 each for those with minor wounds.
