London: Massive fire engulfs tower block building, no casualty reported


Nearly two people have been wounded in a massive fire that took place at the 27-storey Grenfell Tower situated in London. Several people were evacuated from the flats by the rescue operators.

CCTV footage of the incident has been captured and it has gone viral on the social media. The pictures of the incident revealed the building that got engulfed in fire. One can also see the flames coming out from the building.

Following the incident, several fire brigades reached to the spot to douse the flames from the 26th floor.

As per the reports, one witness, Reo affirmed, “I was in my kitchen and heard smoke alarms.

“I could see the whole right side of the building was on fire.” She added.

Many people lost their lives in the incident. Another witness Celeste Thomas who resides across the road from the tower block building, asserted that the kins of victims were making attempts to find each other.

She stated, “Police have moved everyone back out of direct sight but I can hear cracking and debris falling.”

The tower block building is situated on the Lancaster West Estate connecting Latimer Road Underground station and Westfield’s White City shopping centre.

Police stated, “At this stage we are aware of two people being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.”
