The Lok Sabha will talk about the violence today that is going on Dalits. Earlier, the government had refused an opposition order for such a discussion.
The change in stance is understood to be on account of the clear position taken by the Prime Minister against cow protection vigilantes. The government is no longer defenceless against the expected Opposition attack.
The Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha has taken decision to talk about the flood situation in the country on Friday.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said, “The government will continue with its “GST dialogue” for seeking a consensus on future bills, with Parliament having passed the enabling constitution amendment bill.”
It further added that, “Our approach is that of building a consensus. This will continue on the future GST bills, including establishment of the GST Council.”
The short duration discussion will be held by the Rajya Sabha on the draft National Education Policy 2016.
Moreover, 15 members will participate in the discussion Sitaram Yechury (CPM), Anand Sharma (Congress), Ram Gopal Yadav (Samajwadi Party ), Satish Chandra Mishra (BSP), Derek O’Brien (Trinamool Congress) and Kanimozhi (DMK).
