Libyan terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia says it has dissolved

The Libyan terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia, which is linked to Al-Qaeda and deemed a terrorist organisation by the UN and the United States, declared its “dissolution” in a communique distributed online on Saturday.

Washington blames the group for being behind the September 11, 2012 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi in which ambassador Christopher Stevens and three different Americans were killed.
