LG G5 Modular Smartphone to launch today


Gurgoan: LG will launch its new flagship smartphone, the LG G5 in India at an event in Gurgoan today. The company has already start taking pre-orders for the smartphone from May 21 on Flipkart. It offers a free LG Cam Plus module to the consumer till May 31.

The new LG G5 smartphone is priced at Rs 52,990. LG G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with always-on mode and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. LG G5 comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

LG G5 is the only flagship to feature dual rear cameras. Interestingly both the rear cameras work independently. The primary camera is a 16MP one while there is a second 8MP camera for wide-angle shots. LG has turned its software for both the rear cameras to work independently.

LG G5 gets 2800mAh battery but can be expanded to 4,000 mAh with CAM Plus module. The smartphone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its own UI on top.
