At Least three teenagers arrested for using mobiles in exam hall

Mumbai: Nearly three class XII students were arrested on Friday for carrying mobile phones during their HSC Book Keeping examination to attempt cheating in Kandivali.

The authorities caught them cheating in the examination centre and they were later detained by Kandivli police officials.

The mobile phones of students were taken after it came to limelight that they included photographs of passage for the test. The other aspirants were arrested from Balbharti High School centre, TR Naravane Vidyalaya.

“The flying squad from the load up went by the school premises. Subsequent to finding an understudy acting suspiciously, they checked him to discover the cellphone with the question paper and replies in the cell phone’s display,” Kandivli cop expressed.

The police officials revealed that several aspirants have been arrested from various centres after they were caught by the teachers on Friday. “We have arrested the three teenagers. Specialists of the training board have presented a formal protestation against the trio; facilitate examination is being led”, Mukund Pawar, Senior Inspector, Kandivli police headquarters expressed.

“The body of evidence has been recorded against six people including three people who gave the question papers to the understudies. We are yet to recognize the other three people. Additionally activity will be started against the understudies after the exams,” said Pawar.

Strict action will be taken against the authorities of school and invigilators who caught them cheating. “We are going to lodge an official police complaint whenever we find people carrying phones inside the exam hall,” Jagtap said.
