TASHKENT: India's Leander Paes and his German accomplice Andre Begemann went down battling against neighborhood legend Denis Istomin and Mikhail Elgin of Russia in the copies finals of the ninth version of the $125000Tashkent ATP Challenger on Friday.
The third seeded Indo-German match lost 4-6, 2-6 to Elgin and Istomin at the Olympic Tennis School here.
The champs of the occasion will get 125 ATP focuses and $7750 while the runners up got $4500 and 75 focuses.
Paes had won Biella occasion with Begemann and the Busan competition with Sam Groth ahead of schedule in the season. The veteran Indian is yet to win a title, an ATP World Tour this season. This is his third runners-up completions after Winston-Salem and St Petersburg.
