KUSHALNAGAR: On Sunday an autorickshaw driver was murdered. The departed was recognized as Praveen Poojary (38), who be present at a Hindu Jagran Vehike (HJV) focus procession in the town, and was returning home to Athur, when he was pursued and stabbed in the neck at 11.30 pm.
After listening the report of his murder, hundreds of villagers and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and HJV protesters staged a rasta roko. The activists persevered that the police prison those occupied in the crime, previous to holding an autopsy. The district management clamped Section 144 of the CrPC, to avoid unlawful congregation. MLC Sunil Subramani and MLA K G Bopaiah met the activists and commended the police to detained the murderers as soon as possible.
The objection was withdrawn in the daylight following SP Rajendra Prasad conveyed a special squad was formed to detain the accused, and that the guilty will be detained in the next 24 hours. On Tuesday DC Richard D’Souza conveyed that, the District Minister will visit the deceased’s house, and give reimbursement of `5 lakh to the kin.
Praveen’s body was cremated at his hometown. More than 1,000 police personnel from neighbouring districts were pushed into service to avoid communal clashes. Southern Range IGP B K Singh and SP Rajendra Prasad are camping in the town and monitoring the circumstances. Kushalnagar Rural police filed a case and are examining.
All autorickshaws in the district were off the road to complaint next to the killing. The circumstances in Kushalnagar are currently under control. Right-wing activist held On Monday evening, Narayan stabbed one Abdul Khuddus in the chest at Ratha Beedhi. Abdul, who is a moulvi, has been budged to Mysore hospital, and is conveyed to be out of danger. Police detained Narayan and registered a case against him.
