Kriti Sanon reaction on being made to smoke in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’


Although her last release inverse Sushant Singh Rajput, titled “Raabta” did not fare as expected at the box office, Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film which appears like full of life and entertainment, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ has high expectations in terms of box office numbers.

Kriti has never been in favour of promoting smoking or consumption of liquor on screen, however, she was made to smoke for a couple of scenes in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. She uncovered how she absolutely hated doing that, however since the part requested her to smoke on screen, she surrendered herself for the part.

Speaking to a leading daily, Kriti stated, “I have always been anti-smoking. I never needed to smoke. I didn’t like it even after doing it. But it was something that I had to do for the character. I didn’t need it to look fake, so I had to do it the correct way. I could have picked just to do a mouth fag, however it wouldn’t have looked good on screen. When it comes to smokers, they can easily find out if a man is really smoking it or not. There are certain small nuances like how a person is holding a cigarette etc., that can likewise be spotted easily.”

‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is a story of three young characters. The story of the movie rotates around all three of them. Ayushmann Khurrana is a printing press owner while Rajkummar Rao is working in the printing press under Ayushmann Khurrana. Kriti Sanon is playing the female lead in the motion picture, playing the role of a young contemporary girl in Uttar Pradesh.

Helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, it is planned to be discharged on eighteenth August, 2017.
