Kota: 24-yr-old woman committed suicide


Kota: A shocking incident occurred on Sunday in Kota when a 24-yr-old woman of Valmiki community kills self by putting herself on fire in room of Muktimarg area under Nayapura police station.  The deceased body put in the mortuary of Maharao Bheem Singh (MBS) Hospital.

On Sunday the post-mortem held following the woman’s parents reach from Mathura. Reason behind the step is not yet recognized.

Satyanarayan Gujar, ASI, Nayapura police station further conveyed that the deceased woman recognized as Nandani, wife of Kapil Valmiki, a resident of Muktimarg area, on Saturday locked her room at about 12.30pm and committed suicide by setting herself on fire following pouring kerosene. She sustained severe burn grievance and killed on the spot.

He further conveyed that, the woman married to Kapil in Kota in February this year. No suicide note recovered from her room.

When the incident occurred most of the in-laws were at home and no spat took place between them. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Kota, is examining the matter. A case under Section 174 of CrPC has been registered in the matter.
