Kota: 13 child labourers evacuated

Kota: On Thursday 13 child laborers, aged between 15 to 17 years were evacuated as raid carried out by Anti-Human Trafficking Cell from two different commercial units. The raids were carried in Inderprasth Industrial area and bread bakery units under Anantpura police station area.

Two different cases next to the proprietors of the commercial units were registered in this relation in Anantpura police station whereas the evacuated child laborers were produced before the Children Welfare Committee (CWC) that sent them to children’ shelter home.

In-charge, Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, Kota, Dhramraj Ranawat has conveyed that, the child laborers being affianced in work in Inderprasth Industrial area of the city, as sudden raid was carried out and evacuated 13 children from two units.

All seven boys were affianced in carry bags producing unit in Inderprasth Industrial area were evacuated. He further added that, six other boys were evacuated from bread bakery unit on Road No. 5 in the similar area.

The minor boys in these units were obligatory to work for over 12 hours and paid monthly compensation of Rs 3,500 to 4,000. Seven of the 13 rescued children are from different districts of Bihar whereas other children are from Kota. Two different cases next to the proprietors of the commercial units were registered in this relation.
