NOIDA: Former Indian group chief Ravi Shastri has commended KL Rahul, the centurion in the late T20I arrangement against West Indies in Florida, by singling him out as the most enhanced batsman in world cricket. Passing on from London, Shastri felt that Rahul – who now has hundreds of years in each of the three arrangements – is going to improve and will be a major resource for the nation.
"KL Rahul is the most enhanced player on the planet in most recent one year. He is great in Test cricket, as well as in other two configurations. He has an extraordinary future in front of him," said Shastri, who was accountable for the Indian group until the ICC World Twenty20 in April this year.
The previous Indian skipper included that Rahul would "normally show signs of improvement" and that his wicket keeping abilities will give him an edge over others. "He is sure going to do well for India in every one of the organizations," said Shastri.
The 54-year-old did not feel the need to peruse a lot into India's arrangement misfortune to West Indies in Florida – they lost the primary T20I by one run and the second was washed out – and rather supported the group do well at home against groups like New Zealand, England and Australia.
