‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar to play role of PM Narendra Modi in an upcoming film?


Actor Akshay Kumar who is all set for his upcoming film ‘Toilet EK Prem Katha’ may now play role of PM Narendra Modi in a movie.

As per the reports, Akshay kumar has appeared as the cleanest actor who is involved in several social awareness projects. Other actors list includes Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher and Victor Banerjee due to his extensive appeal.

A source stated, “The kind of reach and impact that Akshay Kumar’s presence will have in a story on Modi would be far-reaching and productive.”

Actor and BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha stated, “Akshay is the Mr Clean of India. His image goes well with the image of the New Shining India.”

CBFC chairperson, Pahlaj Nihalani said, “I can’t think of anyone better to play our Prime Minster than Akshay. He has a spotless image of an idealist and visionary. And look at the kind of work he’s doing. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Padman are the cinema of social reform that Guru Dutt and V Shantaram were associated with. Also, Akshay has risen from humble working class beginnings to become a national star, just like Modiji. We are certainly looking at a strong possibility of Akshay playing Modiji.”

Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar is currently busy in the shooting of film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. The film is slated to hit the theatres on August 11. Recently, the filmmakers have released the trailer of movie during crucial India-Pakistan match which was liked by everyone. The trailer increased the alertness about PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign.
