THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A well-known space scientist APJ Abdul Kalam took his last breathe in year 2016 in India. The latest report revealed that a museum will be devoted to him and it will be set up in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Thursday.
The museum has a title Dr Kalam Smriti International Science & Space Museum. For the first time, such step has been taken by the government.
It will include very rare photographs and miniature models of rockets, satellites, and famous quotes of APJ Abdul Kalam.
The museum is established under the patronage of Dr Kalam Smriti International, a group which encourages the philosophy of APJ Abdul Kalam.
As per the reports, Dr K Radhakrishnan, former ISRO Chairman would open the museum in a event here.
In the event, K Sivan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and V Sasi, Deputy Speaker of the Kerala Assembly would also take part.
“By dedicating the museum to the nation, we hope that future generations of our youth would be inspired to achieve greatness by following the life of our late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam,” Shaiju David Alfi, CEO, Dr Kalam Smriti International stated.
