Kerala : Ayyappa Temple started cashless options for devotees


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ayyappa temple of Kerala has introduced cashless option through debit cards. The devotees can transfer their money to their favourite god via their debit cards.

E-Hundi facility has been introduced for the people.

“There's no limit to what devotees can drop into the e-hundi with their debit cards. If it's credit card, a devotee can offer even Re 1,” said Ajay Tharayil, a member of the Travancore Devaswom Board.

The annual Ayyappa pilgrimage season started on November 16. During the three month long season, lakhs of people gathered at the temple from across the country for ending the Mandalam Makaravilakku festival.
