Kerala: 20-yr-old muslim league worker hacked to death


Kozhikode: On Friday a Muslim Youth League worker (20) who was hacked supposedly by a gang of CPM workers at Chalapram near Nadapuram, died at a hospital in the city around 9.30pm.

The youth was assaulted around 5.30pm. The dead was recognized by the police as K Aslam of Thazeh Kuni. Police conveyed Aslam was the third accused in the murder of DYFI worker Shibin and was currently acquitted by the court. They have also further conveyed that, the man was hacked by a gang that approached in a car.

Though he was hurried to the Baby Memorial Hospital instantly, his life could not be saved. An officer with the Kozhikode rural police has also further conveyed that, we have commenced a probe and supplementary police personnel have been deployed at Nadapuram and nearby areas.

 Meantime, the MYL's state unit destined the attack and conveyed that, the CPM was accountable for the crime. alleged MYL state president P M Sadiquali and general secretary C K Subair has also further conveyed that, it is an effort by the 'CPM party court' to punish a youth who was acquitted by the court. MYL leaders alleged in the release that, the CPM workers in the region had threated those concerned even if they were to be acquitted by the court.
